HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 16 (ACN) Cuban triple jumper Leyanis Perez finished third at the eighth Diamond League meeting of the year, held in Silesia, Poland, where her teammate Liadagmis Povea was fourth.
Perez, fourth at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, United States and second in the fifth Diamond League meeting in Oslo, Norway, reached the 14.67-meter mark, enough to secure the third place on the podium.
Triple jump queen, world record holder Yulimar Rojas, won the event after sailing out to 15.18m—a new world lead—followed by the Ukrainian Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk (14.70m).
