HAVANA, Cuba, May 16 (ACN) The 7th edition of the Friendship Race will be held in Cuba next Saturday, May 27, on the occasion of the Day of Victory over Fascism, a historic event that celebrated its 78th anniversary on May 9.
This activity will take place in Havana, starting at 9:00 a.m. in front of the main building of the Russian Embassy, located in the municipality of Playa.
The route will be a 4-kilometer distance and will be attended by age groups ranging from 12 to 65 years of age or older, in addition to the presence of people with disabilities, as usual.
Awards will be given to the first three places in each category and to the winners of the associations of people with disabilities.
The Friendship Race will be held to commemorate the victory of the Soviet Union and the Allies over Nazi Germany in 1945, a transcendental event in the history of mankind.
