HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 13 (ACN) The Cubans Norlan Diaz and Jorge Luis Alayo will see action today in the 2023 Beach Volleyball World Pro Tour, held in Saquarema, Brazil, against the locals Gabriel and Heitor in the preliminary stage of the event, which gathers 70 pairs from 26 countries.
This is the third participation of the Cubans in the Pro Tour Challenge this year after previous competitions in La Paz, Mexico—where they finished nineth—and Itapema, Brazil—where they earned a praiseworthy fourth place.
The Saquarema Challenge also awards points for the world ranking with a view to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
