HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 16 (ACN) The Cuban men's junior handball team will try to advance to the finals today in the qualifying tournament for the World Championships.
Undefeated so far after three games—against Martinique, Mexico and Puerto Rico—Team Cuba will be opposite Guadeloupe (1-1) in one of the semifinal matches, whereas the other one will have pool B leader USA (2-0) versus Martinique (2-1).
The qualifiers will grant two places for the world event and one for the Intercontinental competition, both scheduled for next year.
