HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 12 (ACN) The Cuban junior men's handball team will make its debut today against Martinique in the qualifying tournament for the World Championship of that sport, to be held in Mexico City until the 17th.
Cuba is in Group B with Martinique, Puerto Rico and the local Mexicans, while in Group A are the United States, Guadeloupe, Dominica and Greenland.
According to the competition system, the first two teams of each group will advance to the semifinals and will face each other in the playoffs in search of the title and in that event will be given two tickets to the world championship and a place in the Intercontinental competition.
