Cuba with 322 athletes qualified for San Salvador 2023

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 6 (ACN) So far, 322 athletes in 17 sports have qualified for the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023.

José Antonio Miranda, director of High Performance of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, said that there will be no more qualifiers this year, but another 16 will be held in 2023 in multi-medal sports such as swimming, athletics, taekwondo and judo, among others.

Bound to participate with around 500 athletes, Cuba’s goal is no finish second, since according to forecasts it will be very difficult to beat Mexico.

Likewise, 98 Cuban athletes in 15 sports are already qualified for the Pan Am Games in Santiago de Chile 2023, to be held from October 20 to November 5.
