Cuba already has its team for the 4th Caribbean Baseball Cup

 

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 29 (ACN) Cuba presents a roster of 24 players to take part at the 4th Caribbean Baseball Cup in the Bahamas 2022.

The list includes three catchers, six infielders, five outfielders and 10 pitchers, young players of interest for international commitments next year, including the 5th Alba Games, the Central Caribbean Games in San Salvador 2023 and the Pan American Games in Santiago 2023.

The Caribbean competition will offer quotas for San Salvador 2023, but Cuba already has a ticket and will attend in order to give it prestige and get a chance to showcase itself. Puerto Rico, Haiti, the Virgin Islands and the hosts will be competing to qualify.

The team is made up of catchers Yunior Ibarra, Ivan Prieto and Richel Lopez , as well as infielders Guillermo Aviles, Santiago Torres, Rangel Ramos, Luis Vicente Mateo, Cristian Rodriguez and Rodoleisis Moreno.

The outfielders will be Leonardo Argüelles, Hector Labrada, Yoelkis Guibert , Yasiel Gonzalez and Alexquemer Sanchez, while the pitchers will be Ariel Zerquera, Jose R. Rodriguez, Alexander Valiente, Yunier Castillo, Pavel Hernandez, Andy Vargas, Javier Mirabal, Franklin Quintana, Leodan Reyes and Yeudis Reyes.
