HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 27 (ACN) Cuba met its goal of ensuring the presence of all its boats in the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023, after winning medals in all modalities competing in the Mexico rowing qualifiers.
All 10 Cuban male and female rowers (6 and 4, respectively) won five gold medals and six silver medals, which guarantees their participation in the regional multisport competition.
Ángel Luis García, president and commissioner of the National Rowing Federation, praised the way the Cuban athletes fulfilled their commitment, especially Yariulvis Cobas and Reidy Cardona, each of whom won three gold medals and one silver medal.
