HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 20 (ACN) Yoli Riascos, a 40-year-old Colombian runner, said in Havana that she is happy to participate in the 36th Marabana, Cuba’s main marathon race.
Riascos was one of more than 600 foreigners who came to the traditional event in honor of both the 503rd anniversary of Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana and the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, celebrated on November 19.
The Colombian, who took part in the 10-km race, said that she loved Havana because it is a beautiful city and with super friendly people.
“This is my first Marabana and I am sure I will come again. The emotions I have lived here give me goosebumps all over,” she pointed out. “I have been in national and regional races, but this is my international debut, and I will always have fond memories of Cuba.”
