HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 2 (ACN) Cuban men's and women's doubles will compete today in the round of 16 of the Pan American Table Tennis Championship in Santiago de Chile, a qualifier for the 2023 world championship.
Daniela Fonseca and Idalys Lovet will face Venezuelan Mariangel Diaz and Camila Obando, while Jorge Moises Campos and Livan Martinez will compete against Paraguayan Alejandro Toranzos and Marcelo Aguirre.
The doubles tournament, where the Cubans are stronger, schedules the quarterfinals for Friday, according to the ITTF Americas website.
Today will also open the mixed doubles modality, where Campos and Fonseca will play against a Costa Rican team and Lovet and Martinez will play against a US one.
