
Havana, Nov 1 (ACN) Cuban sports shooting is one of the island’s sports hard-hit by the US economic blockade of the island, which hinders the purchase of necessary munitions and weapons to develop the modality.
The president of the Cuban Sports Shooting Federation, Rafael Guerra, told journalists about the countless damage inflicted by the US policy against Cuba.
Guerra said that some providers do not sell Cuba pistols, rifles or munition essential for the training of Cubans to go for good results in any international meet. Many of those resources could be purchased ion the US at affordable prices.
In his remarks, Guerra said that all Cuban athletes like the people in general suffer from the impact of the blockade which affects all fields of Cuban society.
