HAVANA, Cuba, May 24 (ACN) Cuban Jasiel Rivero will be in action from today in the play-offs of the ACB basketball league in Spain, with his team Valencia Basket, against Bitci Baskonia in the quarterfinal phase.
The Valencians will be the home team in the first match of this three-game, two-win series, a stage to which the eight best teams of the regular season advanced.
Valencia Basket finished the qualifying round in third place with 23 wins and 11 losses, behind only Barca (27-7) and Madrid (25-9), the first and second place teams, in that order.
As for Rivero's individual performance during the season, the Cuban played 31 games in which he averaged 9.7 points, with a good efficiency of 60 % in shots from short distance, in addition to 4.2 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
