Cuban scientific event updates on neurodevelopmental disorders



 SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba, May 27 (ACN) With the aim of promoting collaborative learning on Pediatric Neurology, the Antonio Maria Beguez Children's Hospital, in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba, will host from May 27 to 30 the 1st Territorial Conference on Comprehensive Attention to Neurodevelopmental Disorders.

According to Jorge Antonio Guilarte, general coordinator of the event, told the Cuban News Agency, the 2nd Health-Education Territorial Working Day will be held at the same time, in order to socialize updated research results on patients in this area, their families, schools and environment.

He assured that 70 medical delegates, natural-traditional therapists, psychologists, psychopedagogues, defectologists, special education teachers, jurists and other scholars of neurodevelopment as a systemic and organic process have been summoned.

He pointed out among the topics to be addressed the risk factors related to the disease, as well as its diagnosis, evaluation and timely intervention, the inter and transdisciplinarity in the care of infants with Autism, and the close link between neurosciences and the educational sector.

According to the physician, the support systems for mothers and families of patients, the use of Artificial Intelligence in the modeling of neurodevelopmental disorders and the alternative and naturalistic therapies appear as novelties that respond to the current global sociocultural context.

The event is presented as a unique opportunity to exchange criteria and experiences at the undergraduate and graduate levels, through a renewed ethical vision and scientific and legal bases.
