5th Convention Cuba Salud 2025 concludes today in Havana

 HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 25 (ACN)After four busy days of debate, presentation of papers and bilateral meetings on universal health coverage, the 5th International Convention Cuba Salud 2025 will close today at the Havana Convention Center.

The morning session will feature the presentation of the book Sistema cubano de acreditación de instituciones de salud (Cuban system of accreditation of health institutions), by Dr. Jose Angel Portal Miranda, Cuban Minister of Public Health.

Panels on science and training for development and innovation as a strategic input in the national health system will focus the dialogue in the high-level segment, with the presence of ministers and officials from the sector.

The symposiums dedicated to primary health care, physical rehabilitation, social determinants and health equity will conclude their working sessions, following an extensive scientific program to update assistance protocols in order to improve people's quality of life.

The working sessions of the Hygiene and Epidemiology Forum, the Informatics Congress, the International Conference on Medical Education and the Latin American Colloquium on Public Health Training will also close.

The 16th Health for All Trade Fair ended on Thursday, with 55 contracts signed and more than 300 commercial contacts and negotiations with Cuban companies and institutions, with the purpose of acquiring and providing technologies, supplies, raw materials, medicines and various services in the field of health.

The 2nd International Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair, also associated with the Cuba Salud 2025 Convention, was an opportunity to continue expanding and diversifying health tourism services in Cuba, with great potential still to be developed.

Cuba Salud 2025 will end this afternoon with the “Havana Declaration”, where the main health challenges in the world in the coming years and the Caribbean island's position in the universal access to health care services will be presented.
