HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 22 (ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz spearheaded the panel “Inter-ministerial Mechanism based on the One Health approach”, held in the context of the V International Convention “Cuba Salud 2025”, under way in this city and attended by hundreds of Cuban and foreign delegates.
Joining Mr. Marrero in the panel were the ministers of Public Health, Education, Higher Education, Science, Technology and Environment, Agriculture, and the Food Industry, as well as the President of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, in addition to deputy ministers and government leaders.
In his opening remarks as panel coordinator, the Premier pointed out that Commander in Chief Fidel Castro’s ideas and works are present in “Cuba Salud 2025” and recalled the words of the historic leader of the Revolution decades ago when he warned of the close link between human health, animal health and the environment, a concept currently championed by the One Health approach.
