HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 19 (ACN) Parliamentarians from the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation discussed Health and Biotechnology issues in their first working session, held via videoconference.
Cristina Luna Morales, chair of the Health and Sports Commission, pointed out that the session provided an opportunity to share views about priority aspects of the national economy.
On his end, Vladislav Andreevich Davankov, deputy chair in the State Duma of Russia, conveyed fraternal greetings from Vyacheslav Volodin, head of the legislative body in the Eurasian nation.
During their meeting, which both parties deemed fruitful, he praised the progress of what he referred to as exceptional Cuba-Russia relations based on the principles of friendship and mutual support with a view to the exchange of experiences between both countries and parliaments.
