Havana, Sept 30 (ACN) Chinse deputy minister of Science and Technology, Long Teng, expressed his interest in the Cuban development of Nanotechnology during a visit on Monday to the local Center for Advanced Studies—specialized in the scientific area.
As part of activities on the agenda of the 13th China-Cuba Joint Science and Technology Commission underway in Havana, the Chinese official and a delegation of experts exchanged with specialists with the Cuban institution, the Ministry of Science, Technology and The Environment, and the Agency of Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technology (AENTA).
Long Teng was interested in new opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the area of Nanotechnology and Nanoscience, according to the Cuban Network of Nuclear Communicators (REDNUC).
Long Teng said that his Cuban colleagues briefed him and his delegation on their main research lines as the lead the National Program of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, which is currently undertaking six research projects.
The 13th Session of the China-Cuba Joint Commission for Science and Technology Cooperation is underway at Havana’s Melia Cohiba Hotel looking for areas of mutual benefit in those fields.lc
