HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 13 (ACN) The Institute of Nephrology "Dr. Abelardo Buch Lopez" and the Cuban Society of Nephrology (SCN) will develop from today the 11th National Congress, which will be held in Havana until March 15, 2024.
It will be held at the National Hotel of Cuba and will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the SCN and the 20th anniversary of the inclusion of this specialty in the Battle of Ideas, according to the Infomed website.
Several nephrology specialists, vascular surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses from the 58 nephrology services in the country will participate in the event.
The edition will update on the latest trends in prevention, clinical nephrology, hemodialysis, renal transplantation, clinical and transplant immunology, pediatric nephrology, biomedicine and technical assurance, according to the press release.
Issues associated with psychology, quality of life, acute renal failure and nursing practice, as well as new developments in teaching and research will also be addressed during the congress.
Among the guests, there will be the participation of prestigious professors from the region and from the Spanish Society of Nephrology.
Nephrology 2024 aims to reduce the impact of kidney disease and to this end, positive experiences in the treatment of this ailment will be exchanged.
