Havana, Dec 29 (ACN) The government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana asked Cuba to expand the number of health professionals in that country, particularly nurses due to a current shortage of health personnel.
In 2023, Guyana hired 80 Cuban nurses, while another 200 will be in that nation in early 2024, according to Guyanese Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported on its website.
