Havana, Dec 19 (ACN) Current cooperation relations between Havana’s Molecular Immunology Center and the US Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is an example of the potential for scientific exchange between the US and the Cuban peoples, said Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party Central Committee and Cuban President.
On his X account, the head of state said it was an honor to have met on Monday with directives of the Innovative Immunotherapy Alliance, the only US-Cuban joint venture in the Biotech field, set up by the Roswell Park and the Cuban Immunology Center.
At Havana’s Conventions Palace, the Cuban President welcomed the US scientist headed by Doctor Thomas Schwaab, director for Strategic Development at Roswell Park. The visitors came to mark the fifth year of Innovative Immunotheray Alliance S.A.
At the meeting, the Cuban President siad that the fith anniversary of the joint venture is of great significance for Cubas because it expresses the aspirations about bilateral relations, so that both peoples can always share everything that can unite them, all that can build bridges.
