SANTA CLARA, Cuba, Nov 13 (ACN) The 4th International Scientific Convention UCLV 2023 (IV_CCI), which will be held in the central province of Villa Clara until November 17, will open today with the keynote lecture "Industry 4.0 and the Cuban economy", given by the distinguished professor PhD Agustin Lage Davila.
Under the slogan "Science and innovation for sustainable development", the great event will take place at the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas (UCLV) and the northern keys of the province, although it will also be held virtually.
Maria Josefa Peralta Gonzalez, in charge of the scientific program of the IV_CCI, told ACN that the event includes 19 activities, including the 3rd Uninnova 2023 Innovation Fair, an academic and scientific scenario conducive to the signing of agreements and labor agreements.
More than 50 lectures by national and foreign specialists will define the thematic agenda of the event.
According to Anabel Diaz Hurtado, vice rector of University Extension, the meeting will be the occasion for the awarding of the special category Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Bella Illés, from the Hungarian University, who has been collaborating for several years with the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the UCLV.
Likewise, the category of Guest Professor will be awarded to Agustin Gallardo del Angel, from the University of Veracruz, and to the Spanish academic Francisco Herrera, he said.
During the 4th International Scientific Convention UCLV 2023, the Scientific-Technological Park of Villa Clara will be officially constituted.
