HAVANA, Cuba, May 16 (ACN) With the presence of specialists from 16 countries, including Cuba, the 9th Cuban Congress of Hematology, Hematology 2023, opened today at the Convention Center in Havana until May 19.
On this first day, the presentations of hematologists from the United States, Spain, Nicaragua, Guadeloupe, Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela, Denmark, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Chile, Canada, Peru, Uruguay and Cuba were highly applauded.
Among the topics presented, both in workshops and symposiums, were malignant hemopathies, immunology, hemostasis, immunohematology, fetomaternal alloimmunization, and the very interesting and vital topic of hematological nursing.
The US doctor Luis Enrique Malpica was praised for his treatment of the topic Indolent B Lymphomas (low grade): follicular, marginal Waldenston, which dealt specifically with cancer and the different treatments that are being studied every day worldwide.
Meanwhile, Cuban doctor Gilberto Soler was applauded for his intervention on the antigenic frequency of erythrocyte blood groups.
Tomorrow, on the second date, there will be symposiums such as Intensive therapy in hematology, psychology and social work, in addition to a workshop that all those present are looking forward to related to hemophilia and other coagulation disorders.
