Cuba reports 13 new COVID cases



HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 5 (ACN) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported that at the end of Saturday, December 3, a total of 73 patients were admitted in hospitals, 23 suspected and 50 confirmed active COVID-19 cases.

During the day, a total of 1117 samples were taken for surveillance in Cuba for COVID-19, 13 of which were positive. The country accumulated 14.2 million samples taken, out of which 1.1 million were positive.

Of the total number of cases (13): 9 were confirmed case contacts; 3 with source of infection abroad and 1 with no source of infection specified. Of the total number of cases (13), 4 were male and 9 were female.

Of the total number of cases (13), 2 asymptomatic cases were reported during the day, accumulating a total of 147,549, representing 13.3% of those confirmed to date.

Of the total number of diagnosed cases (13), they belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (8), 20 to 39 years of age (1), 40 to 59 years of age (2) and 60 and over (2).
