HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 30 (ACN) Ricardo Gómez Crespo, rector of the José Antonio Echeverría Technological University of Havana (CUJAE), presented the award of Doctor Honoris Causa to three scientists from the University of Seville—Dr. Angel Barriga Barros, Dr. Manuel Valencia Barreros and Dr. Santiago Sanchez Solano—in the 20th Scientific Convention of Engineering and Architecture (20 CCIA).
Alejandro Cabrera Sarmiento, Vice Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, praised the three scientists’ unconditional support for CUJAE for more than 20 years in terms of doctoral training, the deployment of advanced technologies and the provision of donations.
As part of the event, the university also awarded the CUJAE Seal to another eight scientists from different countries, as well as to the Research Group of Analysis and Simulation of Agri-Food Processes of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
CUJAE vice rector Daniel Alfonso Robaina said that these academics have helped the Cuban university establish relations with universities in Germany, Mexico, Spain, Belgium and Ecuador.
