Havana, Nov 24 (ACN) Cuba shared its experience in its fight against COVID-19 both, domestically and abroad, at a virtual forum of health ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States regional organization (CELAC).
Cuban deputy Health minister Tania Margarita Cruz wrote on her Twitter account that she addressed participants at the forum about the Cuban COVID-19 immunization strategy with locally developed vaccines.
The Cuban official thanked the efforts by the CELAC Expert Network on Infectious Agents and Emerging and Reemerging Diseases and said she hoped that her suggestions can contribute to strengthen health systems in countries of the region.
The deputy health minister backed a declaration favoring cooperation among Latin American and Caribbean nations to achieve larger access to drugs and vaccines; she also ratified her country’s commitment to keep working for the health of all nations of the world.
