COVID-19 in Cuba: 31 new cases, 66 discharges and no deaths



HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 7 (ACN) Cuba reported today 31 new COVID-19 cases and 66 medical discharges, rising up to 1,102,072 recovered patients (92.2% of the cases).

Up until yesterday, 129 of the 1,110,790 Cubans who have become infected since March 2020 were still in hospital, including one in serious condition, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Public Health.

A total of 1,811 samples were analyzed. Cuba has taken 14,111,074 samples since the onset of the virus. None of the new 31 cases was asymptomatic.

So far, 8,530 Cubans have died—none yesterday—for a 0.77% mortality rate, which is 1.06% in the world and 1.60% in the Americas.
