Cuba reported 17 new cases of COVID 19, 43 discharges and no deaths



 HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 6 (ACN) Cuba today added 17 new positive cases of SARS-CoV-2, 13 of them contacts of confirmed cases and four with no source of infection specified, according to the daily report of the ministry of public health.

The report, published on the agency's website, states that 43 medical discharges were granted on Monday, accumulating 1.102,006 recovered, a figure equivalent to 99.2 % of the infections; no deaths were reported due to this disease, which since March 2020 has killed 8,530 people in the country.

Of the 1,110,759 patients diagnosed with the virus in Cuba, 164 remain hospitalized, 163 of them with stable clinical evolution and one reported in serious condition.

Two asymptomatic cases are registered, totaling 147,458, which represents 13.3% of those confirmed to date, and the diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (10), 20 to 39 (6), 40 to 59 (1) and noone over 60.
