Over Cubans have been vaccinated with anti-COVID-19 booster doses



HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 1 (ACN) A total 7,398,882 people in Cuba have received anti-COVID-19 booster doses, the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP by its Spanish acronym) reported today on its website.

Of these, 324,566 belong to the clinical study and 7,074,314 are part of the booster vaccination that is being applied to the population of selected territories and risk groups.

According to the daily report of the health entity, 10,679,352 people have received at least one dose of the national anti-COVID-19, Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines, of which 9,416,204 have a second dose and 9,118,247 have a third one.

As of June 28, Cuba has administered 38,629,851 doses with the immunogens developed in the country.

90 % of the Cuban population has a complete vaccination schedule, a figure that represents 9,973,955 people.Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Cuba in March 2020, 1,106,045 patients have been diagnosed as positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, of whom 1,097,338 (99.2%) have recovered and 8,529 (0.77%) have died.
