HAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (ACN) The death toll in the accident that took place last Friday at the Saratoga Hotel has risen to 42, the ministry of public health reported today in its morning press release.
The entity announced that as of 11:30 this morning, 96 people were injured, 17 of them are hospitalized, and 37 have already been discharged from the hospital.
The 17 hospitalized patients are in five health institutions in the capital. These are: Juan Manuel Marquez Pediatric Hospital (5); Calixto Garcia Surgical Clinical Hospital (7); Hermanos Ameijeiras Surgical Clinical Hospital (2); Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (2); Cira Garcia International Clinic (1).
The health authorities and the government of Cuba deeply mourn what has happened and convey their condolences to his family and friends.
