Cuba reported 53 new cases of COVID 19, 116 discharges and one death



HAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 3,493 samples for surveillance during the day, 53 were positive for 1.3% positivity. The country accumulates 13,759,966 samples taken and 1,104,110 positive (8.0%).

At the end of May 9, a total of 2,104 patients were admitted, 1,571 suspected, 22 under surveillance and 511 confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases, 49 were contacts of confirmed cases, 2 with source of infection abroad and 2 with no source of infection specified. There were 116 discharges, accumulating 1,095,012 (99.2%) and there was one death. Six confirmed patients are being treated in ICUs, three of them critical and three serious.

Among the diagnosed cases, 2 asymptomatic were reported (7.8%), totaling 146,873, which represents 13.3% of those confirmed to date. The diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (26), 20 to 39 (7), 40 to 59 (7) and over 60 (13).
