COVID-19 in Cuba: 76 new cases, 62 discharges and no deaths

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 24 (ACN) Cuba reported today 76 new COVID-19 cases, 62 medical discharges and zero deaths.

Up until yesterday, 367 people remain hospitalized, with 6 and 8 of them in critical and serious condition, respectively, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Public Health.

At the close of yesterday, December 23, 2,737 patients were still in hospital and 2,193 were suspected cases, whereas 177 were under surveillance and 367 were confirmed cases.

A total of 19,100 samples were taken during the day, and 76 tested positive. Cuba has taken 11,536,661 samples, and 964,482 have been confirmed as positive.

Of the 76 positive cases, 25% (19) were asymptomatic, making a total of 133,036 cases (13.8% of those confirmed to date).
