HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 23 (ACN) Cuba reported today 89 new COVID-19 cases, 91 medical discharges and zero deaths.
Up until yesterday, 353 people remain hospitalized, with 5 and 11 of them in critical and serious condition, respectively, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Public Health.
At the close of yesterday, December 22, 2,647 patients were still in hospital and 2,113 were suspected cases, whereas 181 were under surveillance and 353 were confirmed cases.
A total of 19,698 samples were taken during the day, and 89 tested positive. Cuba has taken 11,517,561 samples, and 964,406 have been confirmed as positive.
Of the 89 positive cases, 19.1% (17) were asymptomatic, making a total of 133,017 cases (13.8% of those confirmed to date).
