HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 21(ACN) Cuba studied a total of 13,674 samples for surveillance during the day, resulting positive 61. The country accumulates 11, 481,602 samples taken and 964,237 positive.
At the close of December 20, 2,382 patients had been admitted, 1,827 suspected, 209 under surveillance and 346 confirmed active.
Of the total number of cases, 46 were contacts of confirmed cases; 12 with source of infection abroad and 3 with no source of infection identified. There were 56 medical discharges, accumulating 955,518 patients recovered (99.1%) and one person died. Thirteen confirmed patients are being treated in ICUs, including three in critical and 10 in severe condition.
Among the 61 positive cases, 26.2% (16) were asymptomatic, totaling 132,961, representing 13.8% of those confirmed to date. The diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (7), 20 to 39 (20), 40 to 59 (20), and over 60 (14).
