Cuba has administered over 29 million anti-COVID-19 doses



HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 13 (ACN) At the end of December 11, 29, 006,443 doses of the Cuban anti-COVID-19 Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines had been administered in Cuba, the ministry of public health ( MINSAP by its Spanish acronym) reported today.

According to its report, 10, 218,705 people have received at least one dose to date, including those vaccinated with Soberana Plus as a single dose, and 9,263,570 have already received a second dose, and 8,838,844 have received a third one.

A total of 83.7 % of the Cuban population, some 9,361,872 citizens, have been vaccinated, the information, published on the health entity's website, added the report.

It highlighted that a total of 685,324 people have already received anti-COVID-19 booster doses; of these, some 69,994 are part of the Clinical Study and 615,380 belong to the population of selected territories and at-risk groups.

As part of the mass vaccination process, 18, 597,475 million doses have been administered in the country; 9,618,494 million doses are associated with the health intervention, 454,064 with the intervention study and 266,466 with the clinical trials.
