Cuba reported 65 new cases of COVID 19, 82 discharged and no deaths



HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 10 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 20,081 samples for surveillance during the day, with 65 being positive. The country accumulates 11, 289,974 samples taken and 963,493 positive.

At the end of December 9, 3,004 patients were admitted, 2,453 suspected, 167 under surveillance and 384 confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases, 59 were contacts of confirmed cases; 5 with source of infection abroad and 1 with no source of infection determined. A total of 82 medical discharges were given, accumulating 954,741 patients recovered (99.1%) and there were no deaths. There were 15 confirmed patients in ICUs, of whom 8 were critical and 7 serious.

Among the 65 positive cases, 30.7% (20) were asymptomatic, totaling 132,743, which represents 13.8% of those confirmed to date. The diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (7), 20 to 39 (16), 40 to 59 (24), 60 and over (18).
