COVID-19 in Cuba: 81 new cases, 87 discharges and no deaths

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 9 (ACN) Cuba reported today 81 new COVID-19 cases, 87 medical discharges and no fatalities.

Up until yesterday, 401 people remain hospitalized, with 7 and 6 of them in critical and serious condition, respectively, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Public Health.

At the close of yesterday, December 8, 3,004 patients had been admitted and 2,427 were suspected cases, whereas 176 were under surveillance and 401 were confirmed cases.

A total of 19,719 samples were taken during the day, and 81 tested positive. Cuba has taken 11,269,893 samples, and 963,428 have been confirmed as positive.

Of the 81 positive cases, 23.5% (19) were asymptomatic, making a total of 132,723 cases (13.8% of those confirmed to date).
