Cuba reported 75 new cases of COVID 19, 133 discharges and one death



HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 7 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 13,055 samples for surveillance during the day, 75 of which were positive. The country accumulates 11,232,726 samples taken and 963,269 positive.

At the end of December 6, 2,982 patients had been admitted, 2,448 suspected, 60 under surveillance and 474 confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases, 70 were contacts of confirmed cases; 3 with source of infection abroad and 2 with no source of infection determined. There were 133 medical discharges, accumulating 954,427 patients recovered (99.1%) and one person died. In intensive care units, 18 confirmed patients are being treated, of whom 11 are critical and 7 serious.

Among the 75 positive cases, 17.3% (13) were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132,690, which represents 13.8% of those confirmed to date. The diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (8), 20 to 39 (15), 40 to 59 (23), 60 and over (29).
