HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 6 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 17,594 samples to detect cases of COVID 19, resulting positive 104. The country accumulates 11, 219,671 samples taken and 963,194 positive.
At the end of December 5, 3,108 patients were admitted, 2,483 suspected, 92 under surveillance and 533 confirmed active.
Of the total number of cases, 90 were contacts of confirmed cases; 9 with source of infection abroad and 5 with no source of infection determined. There were 119 medical discharges, accumulating 954,294 patients recovered (99.1%) and one person died. Twenty confirmed patients are being treated in ICUs, including 9 in critical and 11 in serious illnesses.
Among the 104 positive cases, 25.0% (26) were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132,677, representing 13.8% of those confirmed to date. The diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (12), 20 to 39 (24), 40 to 59 (37), and over 60 (31).
