Havana, July 23 (ACN) On Friday July 23rd, Cuba reported 7 thousand 784 new COVID-19 cases confirmed Thursday through the study of 51 thousand 425 samples. The country now accumulates a total of 6 million 099 thousand 427 samples out of which 316 thousand 383 have proved positive to COVID-19.
At present, the island reports 37 thousand 435 positive active cases out of a total of 60 thousand 994 hospitalized persons, with over 20 thousand of them suspects of having been infected.
Out of the total reported on Friday more than 7 thousand were contacts of confirmed cases and 46 imported.
Up to July 22, some 190 countries and 32 territories reported COVID-19 cases. The total number of confirmed cases has gone up to 193 million 174 thousand and 257 persons. The Americas has 76 million 474 thousand 100 confirmed cases, some 39 percent of all cases confirmed around the world
