HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 20 (ACN) Cuba studied 43,808 samples of COVID 19, resulting in 6,057 positive ones. The country accumulates 5, 950,808 samples taken and 294,449 positive.
At the close of July 19, 59,755 patients were admitted, 18,790 suspected, 5,348 under surveillance and 35,617 confirmed active.
Of the total number of cases, 5,952 were contacts of confirmed cases; 35 with source of infection abroad and 70 without source of infection determined. There were 4,962 discharges, accumulating 256,757 recovered patients (87.2%) and 53 people died. A total of 324 patients, including 148 in critical and 176 in severe condition, are treated in ICUs.
Among the 6,057 positive cases, 10.5% (634) were asymptomatic, totaling 100,606, which represents 34.2% of those confirmed to date, and the diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (1,155); 20 to 39 (1,764), 40 to 59 (1,974) and over 60 (1,164).
