HAVANA, Cuba, May 25 (ACN) Cuba studied 22,372 samples, resulting in 1,291 positive ones. The country accumulates 4, 193,872 samples taken and 135,499 positive.
At the close of May 24, 27,415 patients were admitted, 4,221 suspected, 16,266 under surveillance and 6,928 confirmed.
Out of the total number of cases, 1,205 were contacts of confirmed cases; 42 with source of infection abroad and 44 with no source of infection determined. There were 1,155 discharges, with an accumulated 127,614
patients recovered (94.2%), and eleven people died. A total of 138 patients are being treated in ICUs, of which 50 are in critical and 88 in serious condition.
Among the 1,291 positive cases, 47.8% (618) were asymptomatic, totaling 66,325, which represent 49% of those confirmed to date.
