HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 29 (ACN) The Cuban ministry of public health reported Tuesday 48 new positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, for a total of 5,531 infected people in the country, 88 % of them recovered.
At the close of September 28, 7,298 patients remain in hospitals, of which 5,536 are under surveillance, 1,221 suspected and 541 confirmed.
Out of the 541 confirmed patients, 535 have stable clinical evolution, two in critical and four in serious condition; there are no deaths during the day and 79 new discharges.
All the confirmed cases are Cubans, 43 were contacts of confirmed cases and five were not a definite source of infection.
