HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 11 (acn) Cuba is advancing in the objective of achieving a vaccine against COVID-19, assured directors of BioCubaFarma (Group of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries of Cuba) and the Finlay Institute in their official Twitter accounts.
Achieving an effective vaccine against COVID-19 is a priority for the science and innovation system at BioCubaFarma, said Eduardo Martinez, director general of the entity.
Today we see at the Finlay Institute how solid and accelerated progress has been made in this project, he added.
"Towards the long-awaited vaccine! Meeting the schedule and a little more," Vicente Verez, director general of the Finlay Vaccine Institute, tweeted.
The Finlay Institute is devoted to researching, developing, producing, evaluating, negotiating and commercializing knowledge, technologies and products, mainly vaccines.
