SANTA CLARA, Cuba, January 7 (ACN) The 30th Trova Festival “Longina Canta a Corona”, under way in the province of Villa Clara, is attended by prominent international artists.
Dedicated this year to the renowned Cuban trova musician Silvio Rodríguez, author of iconic songs, the Festival opened on Wednesday evening with a performance by several Cuban artists and the Venezuelan musician Ernesto Luis.
A much-awaited moment of the event will be a conversation with Silvio Rodríguez about music, poetry and artistic creation.
The foreign artists are Ella Trova (Colombia), Xóchitl Ramos and Darío Parga (Mexico), Anita Tripodi Paz (Argentina), and Tobias Thiele (Germany).
Yasel Toledo Garnache, president of the Hermanos Saíz Association―one of the organizers of the Festival―highlighted the special nature of the Longina, which he described as an event with "a special heart," and foretold that it will be an artistic experience where "beauty is everywhere."
