Cuban poetry at Ibero-American meeting in Mexico

MATANZAS, Cuba, November 18 (ACN) Sharing his work with the Mexican university community is a chief motivation for Leymen Pérez García, a prominent Cuban writer from the province of Matanzas, to participate in an Ibero-American Meeting of Trova and Poetry, under way in Mexico.

“The rector of the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco (UJAT), Guillermo Narváez Osorio, reminded us that culture is the dialogue between the roots of who we are and who we hope to be”, Mr. Pérez remarked.

The official program to celebrate UJAT’s 67th anniversary includes the recital La vida es todo, featuring the Cuban poet along with his peers from Mexico and Colombia.

An agenda brimming with art and science will distinguish this event organized by UJAT, a public institution in charge of training professionals, researchers, professors, and technicians; doing scientific research; and contributing to the preservation and dissemination of culture for the benefit of integration, development, and social transformation.
