
Havana, March 24 (ACN) Cuban customs authorities thwarted a new attempt to introduce illegal drugs in the island through the Jose Marti International Airport.
First deputy Customs chief William Perez wrote on X that cocaine was found in a passenger’s suitcase
Pérez González emphasized that this result constitutes the sixth international drug trafficking operation thwarted since the beginning of 2026, which reaffirms the effectiveness of border controls.
The General Customs Office of the Republic underscored that Cuba maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward international trafficking and the consumption of illicit substances, in defense of national security and the health of the population.
