
HAVANA, Cuba, January 28 (ACN) Casa de las Américas announced in this city the international lecture series "Paths to Decolonization: Thoughts, Art, and Cultural Action," scheduled to take place between February and December 2026 as part of its postgraduate course series, Prensa Latina reported.
The program will gather intellectuals and specialists from Latin America and the Caribbean to discuss the challenges of cultural colonization and regional alternatives.
On February 3, Abel Prieto, president of the institution, will give the first lecture, titled "Reasons and Objectives of a National Program to Confront Cultural Colonization", whereas Jorge Fornet will speak on March 3 about "Decolonization Under Debate: Casa de las Américas as a Hub of Reflections and Proposals."
Other presentations will address decolonization from theatrical, musical, artistic, Caribbean, Afro-American, and Indigenous perspectives.
