HAVANA, Cuba, January 28 (ACN) Following the awards ceremony at the recently concluded International Tourism Fair of Spain (FITUR 2026), the ExcelenciasGroup announced that it will present its awards in Cuba on March 11 to recognize achievements in 15 categories.
Group president José Carlos de Santiagostated that the Excelenciaswill honor excellence in tourism, including sun-andbeach and nature tourism, as well as gastronomy, entrepreneurship, innovation and development, and the automotive sector, among other sectors.
He remarked that these awards in Cuba recognize the contribution made to society by entities or individuals rather than the best commercial results, which he described as a typical feature of Excelencias.
One of these awards was granted recently to the Latin American Film Festival of Navarra, Spain, and it will be presented again in Havana this year, said Mr. De Santiago.
Established in Cuba 35 years ago, the Excelencias Groupcreated these awards in 2005 to promote the best society-oriented achievements in tourism, gastronomy and culture across Ibero-America and the Caribbean.
