HAVANA, Cuba, January 9 (ACN) Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, expressed today the shared sorrow and deepest solidarity of the Cuban people and government with Venezuela, following the official report of at least 100 Venezuelans killed as a result of the attack perpetrated by the United States on January 3.

In a message posted on X, in response to a report by TeleSUR TV, the Cuban president wrote: "We share with the people and Government of #Venezuela the pain of seeing brothers and sisters murdered by the imperialist invader.

Our deepest condolences and all our solidarity in this sad moment." President Díaz-Canel's message responds to the report released by the Minister of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, who confirmed the preliminary death toll.

The attack, which included bombings in Caracas and other cities, has been unanimously condemned by the Cuban government as a criminal act and a flagrant violation of international law.

In his statement, the Cuban head of state reiterated his government's firm stance on the events:

"We will not cease in denouncing this criminal act," he affirmed.
