Cuba Thanks Worldwide Support on 67th Anniversary of the Revolution

HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 3 (ACN) Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed on behalf of the Cuban people and government the deepest and most heartfelt gratitude for the displays of solidarity, affection, and recognition received from all corners of the planet on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

Through an extensive message published on the social network X, the President acknowledged that each gesture of international support "arrives at a moment of intensified imperialist hostility and a ferocious economic #Blockade that attempts, in vain, to subdue us through scarcity and hunger."

Although he pointed out that shortages and difficulties have been exacerbated, he maintained that Cuba's history teaches that with unity and clear objectives, all impossibilities are overcome.

The President outlined a balance of resistance of the last six decades, describing Cuba as "a people that has faced attempts at asphyxiation with more science, more health, more education and more art, and that has sought a way out of every obstacle."

He emphasized the nation's solidarity character, "that shares what it has and even what it lacks with other needier peoples, the one that sends doctors where others send bombs."

Díaz-Canel affirmed that the international support received is "proof that we are not alone, that the justness of our cause is visible and shared."

Expressing his gratitude, he reaffirmed the "unbreakable will to continue the struggle on every front, with dignity as our flag."

Finally, the head of state linked this gratitude to the legacy of the historic leader of the Revolution, concluding: "Our gratitude is, above all, a renewed commitment to the principles of justice, independence, and humanism bequeathed to us by #Fidel and which we will continue to defend in the year of his centenary."
